The Stanier coaches are completely new having been
announced in 2006. They are of a quality far superior to anything produced by the former
company. Six different Stanier types have been designed, these being: a brake 3rd,
corridor all 3rd, vestibule 1st/3rd composite, brake 1st, vestibule 3rd and a vestibule
1st. All are currently on their way from China and should be in the shops during late
July. The finer detail includes painted interior units, wire for the electricity conduits
on the ends and along the roofs, correctly recesses for the windows (new for Farish
coaches which are normally printed onto a flat clear plastic standard body moulding),
no-smoking stickers on windows, nicely detailed bogies and underframe, end boards and vac
pipes supplied separately and neat printing and colour separation.
So far, the full range of six types has been produced in LMS Crimson Lake and BR crimson and cream livery. Here we have two of the latter - the brake 3rd numbered M5805M (374-826) and the vestibule 3rd as M9491M (374-841).
