These are truly beautiful models and examples of the
excellent workmanship coming from Bachmann. They have good internal detail with
illuminating table lamps, nicely profiled windows, fine wire for the electricity conduits,
wire handrails, lamp brackets on the corridor connectors and a bag of additional detailing
for the purchaser to attach. The latter contains an alternative coupling bar for
semi-permanently joining together of coaches in a set and air brake fittings for coaches
used by the Steam Locomotive Operating Association (SLOA). Instructions show where these
should be located - differently placed for 1st class cars compared with other cars.
The samples illustrated are parlour 1st Amber (39-290A) and 2nd Car No 348 (39-310A). They should be available mid to late July.
