After the success of the super-detailed Pullman cars, Hornby next produced a series of five Gresley coaches which arrived in the shops in 2004. Almost 50 versions of these have now been released. These are a lot more expensive than the other super-detailed coaches because they cost more to make, due to the many printing stages they go through to achieve the very realistic teak livery.
The recent additions are an all 3rd (R4172B) numbered '1463' and a
buffet car (R4173B) numbered '24080'.
