Hornby Eurostar 6-Car Train Pack R2379AEurostar.JPG (49523 bytes)

The Hornby model of a Eurostar dates from 1996 when Hornby produced it to replace the H0 version by Jouef that Hornby had marketed in the UK the year before. The tooling for the Jouef model passed to Lima when they took over the French company and is now owned by Hornby. Whether or not they plan to produce the Jouef H0 version again for European sales is not known.

The latest release of the 00 version by Hornby is a six-car train pack which includes a Class 373 power driving unit and dummy driving unit, two Eurostar passenger saloons and a pair of divisible centre saloons. The pack celebrates the opening of the high-speed rail link between London St Pancras and the Channel Tunnel. The train is unsuitable for first radius curves.

The car numbers are:

powered driver '3730070'

saloon '3730071'

divisible centre saloon '3730079'

divisible centre saloon '3730089'

saloon '3730081'

dummy driver '3730080'
