In addition to the two new LMS coaches there are also two former Period 3 LMS coaches in BR maroon livery. These are an all 3rd (R4235A) numbered 'M1832M' and a brake/3rd (R4236A) numbered 'M5842M'. Impressive features of the LMS Stanier Period 3 coaches are the different interior units which have been carefully modelled to cope with close inspection. The seating units in both these coaches, being 3rd class, are red. The interior partitions and doors are brown and the interior of the brake van is painted white. Like the LMS coaches, these models come with alternative corridor connectors and couplings. They have sprung buffers.
