The 6-wheel milk tank wagon was a late addition to the Hornby model range in 2007 and consisted of the former Lima milk tank body on a retooled GWR 6-wheel chassis. Three versions of the model were released in 2007 and three more versions of this popular model have already been released this year. These are a dark blue LMS 'Express Dairies' (R6404) which is numbered '1999' on the solebars and '16' on the tank ends, a maroon coloured LMS 'Independent Milk Supplies' (R6405) numbered '44280' on the solebars and with no number on the tank and, finally, a grey GWR 'MMB' (R6406) Milk Marketing Board tank wagon which carries no number although the GWR wagon plates on the solebars carries the number '1963'. The reason for two numbers, when they occurred, was probably because of the dual ownership. The chassis belonged to the railway company and the tank belonged to the milk transport company.
