Graham Farish Class 37/0Class 37 BRc.JPG (24587 bytes)

Also released from the factory are two of the latest version of the Class 37 diesel, much improved on the original Graham Farish model. The samples we have are 371-451 'D6707' in BR green and 371-452 '37238' in BR blue. Despite having moulded plastic bodies, these locos weigh 92 grams each, giving them plenty of traction.

The models are part of the 2007 programme and there are four versions in all. The tooling has been modified to make them members of the 37/0 subclass. The blue model has centre codeboxes with spots but the green model has split codeboxes; the left-hand ones (viewed facing the end) have been left blank but the right-hand ones show '51' at the A end and '84' at the B end.Class 37 BRe.JPG (25774 bytes)

The cab interiors are detailed and a packet of 'add-ons' is supplied with each model. This contains a pair of shorter couplings (for more realistic spacing) and hoses/cables for the buffer beams (if you have the ability to fit them). The models come fitted with 6-pin sockets for DCC decoders and have been awarded the new Blue Riband classification (that is, 'new' to the Graham Farish range). Once again, these two models show the considerable improvement that Bachmann have made to the Graham Farish range since they acquired it in 2000.
