Three more private owner wagons have been released by 1E Promotionals and produced by Dapol.
The Charles Wade wagon (OX8) is a dark brown 5-plank numbered '11' and
registered with the GWR. The 7-plank belonging to Rowland Manthorpe (IP4) is a red-brown
wagon numbered '1400' and registered with the LMS. Both would have been owned by coal
merchants and used to deliver coal to their depots where it was bagged for transport by
lorry.
Our third wagon was produced for the 2007 Warley Exhibition. It is in the livery of HP Sauce Works (SY1). It is a 7-plank and acknowledges the closure of the Birmingham HP Sauce factory where the world's original brown sauce was produced. The sauce now comes from Holland. The wagon is red-brown in colour and is No.1 in the fleet.
