Hornby Class 60 Transrail/Coal R2640Class 60 Coal .jpg (39954 bytes)

This is an unusual subject in that the motifs it carries don't match. On one side it has a Railfreight Train Load Coal motif with Transrail branding and on the other side, the motif has been replaced by the Transrail 'T' logo. The model is in triple grey livery and carries the number '60066'. It also carries the name 'John Logie Baird' on the side carrying the Transrail logo but not on the Train Load Coal side.Class 60 Transrail.jpg (39604 bytes)

The Class 60s were built by Brush Traction in Loughborough between 1989 and 1993. They were built as heavy duty freight locomotives and totalled 100. They all went to EWS at Privatisation in the mid 1990s.
