When Bachmann acquired the Graham Farish business it was seen as a move that could greatly improve the quality of N gauge models available to British modellers - but who could have seen how much the standard would rise. Today we are seeing almost as much detail on N gauge wagons as we have come to expect on 00 scale ones. The new Freightliner Heavy Haul HAA bogie hopper wagon is a case in point. Turn one over and look at the fine detail of the hatches and levers.
The model is of a modern wagon which shows how far coal handling on the railways has come since the RCH 7-plank coal wagons which BR inherited in 1948. This particular model carries the running number '370001' and it comes with hoses for fitting to the bufferbeams.
