Graham Farish BR J94 Saddle Tank 372-503J94 BRc.JPG (51641 bytes)

The powerful austerity design 0-6-0 saddle tank is a popular subject and the Graham Farish model captures well the appearance of the real locomotives. It was first released in the Graham Farish range in 1986 and six versions of it were produced before Bachmann acquired the company, two of them for the Dutch market. Since Bachmann returned it to production in 2003, eight versions have been produced, all but one of them in BR plain black livery. The latest version has late decals and is numbered '68071'.

Evidence of the improvements that Bachmann have brought to the model can be seen in the high quality tampo printing which includes the 'RA5' classification in the corner of the cabsides and the '36A' shed plate (at least, I think that is what it says having used two magnifying glasses and a high powered light!).
