The Hornby model of the Class 50 diesel locomotive was first released in 2004 and, to date, there have already been 14 versions of it. The latest is 50020 'Revenge' which is in the ever popular 'large logo' BR Rail blue livery with light grey roof and yellow cabs. This is the fourth version of the Class 50 to be produced by Hornby in 'large logo' blue livery.
Built by English Electric at their Vulcan Factory in 1968, 'Revenge' was originally numbered D420 and was renumbered to '50020' in February 1974. The name was not applied until July 1978.
