The Class 8570 model dates from 1996 and, being a lot later than the earlier GWR pannier tank engine models of the 1970s, it is better detailed and a more accurate model. Graham Farish made it in GWR green and late BR black - producing both liveries with a choice of two running numbers.
Today's model is the sixth to have been produced by Bachmann since they reintroduced it in 2002 - and the third in GWR green. This time the number carried is '4612'.
