Hornby BR Ore Wagon R6361Tippler Stone logo B386569.jpg (47152 bytes)

The Hornby tippler wagon first made its appearance in 1979 when a range of better wagons was being introduced to upgrade the range in the face of competition. This wagon has now been produced in 28 versions, many of which consist of just a number change. This wagon, however is different in finish to any we have seen before as it carries a 'Stone' logo of a style applied in the 1970s when a number of tippler wagons were transferred from iron ore traffic to the growing aggregate business. This is an unusual case of stylised labelling and the logo was intended to resemble a wagon. The wagon is numbered 'B386569' and carries the block train number '7623'.
