Another of the splendid M7 tank engines has arrived. This is No.111 which is in Southern Railway Maunsell olive green and I believe is the first locomotive to be available as either 'DCC Ready' or 'DCC Fitted'. Unlike SR 357, released earlier, this one has the extended footplate and push-pull gear. The actual locomotive was built in 1904 for the London & South Western Railway. Remarkably it served on the railways for 60 years before it was decommissioned and scrapped. The locomotive model is supplied with a bag of extra detail, including couplings and hoses for the bufferbeams, but none of these have been fitted to the model in the photograph.
