Before Christmas we saw the Dean Single return as 'Lord of the Isles' and later as 'Katy' in the Thomas series. Here we see the same model, once again in its authentic GWR livery but as 'Lorna Doone'. Until now the model has always carried the name 'Lord of the Isles' but at last Hornby have broken out of the trap and modelled another member of the class. The class had some splendid names more of which we hope to see on this model in the future. If it sells well, there may be a case for reissuing it each year with a different name. 'Lorna Doone' is a limited edition of 2000 and comes with a certificate. The finish on the model is far superior to that used in the past and it is quieter running.
