Hornby continue to make their range of Collett coaches which were first introduced to their catalogue in 1977. The latest release is a 1st/3rd composite coach numbered '6135' and carrying the 'shirt-button' GWR logo.
The LNER and LMS coaches have been replaced by high quality coaches and the Southern Railway will receive a set of Maunsell coaches this year. The last of the Big Four to receive a quality range of coaches from Hornby is the GWR. With reasonable Collett coaches available from Bachmann and a big demand for Hawksworth coaches in the current MREmag/Model Rail Poll, it seems likely that 2008 or 2009 will see the release a range of Hawksworth GWR and WR coaches. However, if this is so, you can be sure that Hornby will want to keep it a secret until nearer the time.
