The former Airfix model of the 1931 GWR Collett Prairie tank dates from 1977 and the first Hornby version arrived in 1999. This is the 13th version of the model that Hornby have produced and the first to have a 'weathered' finish. The model is much improved since it was made by Airfix, when it had some solid wheels and was not the best of runners. It is some way from the standard of new models being tooled up today but it is still a nice model. The loco is black with early BR insignia and is numbered '5157'. It is now 'DCC ready'.
