Britain's Railways in Colour

Here you have nearly 250 coloured photographs of steam on British Railways in the 1950s and 1960s, many of them previously unpublished. They come from various collections of transparencies. As the photographers all lived in the Bath area, the subjects tend to have a weighting towards Southern England. A lot of them were taken on the Somerset & Dorset Railway and so the book should appeal to S&D fans. Other chapters are South Devon, Devon & West Somerset, South Coast/London/East Anglia, Wales, Bristol & Bath, Central England, South Central, Midlands & North West and NE England & Scotland. There are two indexes, one for locations and the other for locomotives depicted. This is a 'coffee table' book, ideal for browsing.
