This is the third of a series of books that look at the British Railways regions where they entered the London suburbs. Previous books in this series cover the Southern and Western regions. The book is also one of Ian Allan's many low priced coloured portfolios. For many London Midland Region enthusiasts in the later steam era, the main interest was the main line steam entering and leaving Euston and St Pancras stations. LMS express locomotives as well as more humble members of the LMS locomotive stud perform alongside BR standard steam, North London electric trains and the incoming diesels. This is an interesting collection of pictures and it is good to find so many scenes of nearly 50 years ago recorded in colour.
