London Midland Region

The book launches a brand new series which will capture the days when steam ruled supreme This is bound to be attractive to railway enthusiasts, preservationists and modellers. The series will look in turn at the British Railways regions and starts with the London Midland Region which was loosely based on the former London Midland and Scottish Railway (excluding Scotland). It is a picture album with lengthy captions and has an interesting collection of black and white photographs - mostly of steam engines. Railway architecture, rolling stock, operations and modern traction are largely excluded but the book will appeal to the lover of steam in action.
