The former Power Series of the Oxford Publishing Company has grown considerably in size since Ian Allan Publishing re-launched it and one area in which it has particularly expanded is that of diesels. This is the seventh volume to be dedicated to a diesel class and this time it is the turn of the Class 60s.
It is almost a full colour volume and, with over 240 pictures, covers every conceivable variation. It looks at their construction, testing, passenger workings, liveries and some close-up detail of nameplates. It is written by one of Britain's foremost railway writers and is in his usual easy to follow style. This is a must for any Class 60 enthusiast and could prove interesting to others as well. It will be useful to manufacturers looking for new liveries and detail differences for their models.
