Your reviewer's first reaction on receiving this book was to find out where Cleobury Mortimer is. If you draw a line between Ludlow and Kidderminster, it passes through Cleobury Mortimer at approximately half way along its length. From the town, the railway stretched in three directions. To the North it ran to Ditton Priors, to the West it ran to Woofferton Junction via Tenbury Wells and to the East it ran through Wyre Forest to Bewdley, where it connected with the Severn Valley line. Bewdley station is the only one covered by the book that still serves a railway, be it a preserved line. So the book is a look back at what once was with many nostalgic pictures and the usual helpful sectons of Ordnance Survey map which give us the track layout.
