It is a great source of illustrations as it is simply packed with over 200 pictures, including a few drawings, of Irish wagons and carriages. Indeed, in this publication, locomotives take a back seat as the emphasis is on passenger and freight carrying vehicles. There is an extensive introduction which looks at the lines one by one and, in a number of cases, there are detailed lists of coaching stock used on the line. This is a book which will be an invaluable reference work for anyone modelling the historical Irish network.
