Here we have the latest title in the growing Midland Main Lines Series by Middleton Press. It follows the Great Central Railway's route, from London Marylebone, north of Aylebury in Buckinghamshire up to Rugby in Warwickshire. The book also includes the Brill Tramway which branched westwards from Quainton Road but closed in 1935. Also from Quainton Road there was a branch line opened in 1868 to Verney Junction on the Oxford - Bletchley line. This is also covered in the book along with a branch south-west from Culworth Junction to provide a link to Banbury and a branch south from Grendon Underwood Junction to the main GWR line to Birmingham.
