SEVERN & WYE RAILWAY LOCOMOTIVES
 The Severn & Wye Railway passed into the joint ownership of the Great Western Railway and the Midland Railway in 1894. Locomotives were split between the two companies accordingly.

Fletcher Jennings
3 locomotives were built between 1873 and 1876. The first (‘Little John’) was sold to the Midland Railway in 1895 becoming 1123A (scrapped in 1905). ‘Will Scarlet’ and ‘Alan-A-Dale’ became GWR locomotives No’s 1355 / 1356 and were rebuilt at Swindon in 1896. No. 1355 was withdrawn in 1905, whilst No. 1356 was sold in 1912. It eventually returned to GWR ownership in 1921 but was withdrawn in 1923

Vulcan Foundry
5 locomotives were built between 1880 and 1891. 3 locomotives (‘Sharpness’ /  ‘Sabrina’ / ‘Forester’) passed to the Midland Railway and were withdrawn between 1920 and 1924. 2 locomotives (‘Severn Bridge’ / ‘Gaveller’) entered GWR stock and were withdrawn between 1903 and 1906
