Division (ROD) during World War One at home and in France

between 1917 and 1919. After the war these locomotives were offered for sale
and and were sold to railway administrations across the world including Australia. 100
locomotives were purchased by the GWR between 1919 and 1925, with a further 84 hired for a
period. The first was withdrawn in October 1927 and the last in October 1958.
