In 1929 Duke Class locomotive No. 3265 was rebuilt using the frames from a scrapped Bulldog Class locomotive. This resulted in a further 29 locomotives being rebuilt using frames from Bulldog Class locomotives and boilers from Duke Class between April 1936 and November 1939. The first was withdrawn in July 1948 and the last in June 1960. 1 locomotive has been preserved

ROD Class 2-8-0
Robinson (Great Central Railway). GWR version below for others see LNER section. Used by Railway Operating Division (ROD) during World War One at home and in France
521 locomotives were built for the Railway Operating Department between 1917 and 1919. After the war these locomotives were offered for sale and and were sold to railway administrations across the world including Australia. 100 locomotives were purchased by the GWR between 1919 and 1925, with a further 84 hired for a period. The first was withdrawn in October 1927 and the last in October 1958.
