3 locomotives were built in June 1949. Work was stopped in November 1949 with the second locomotive nearing completion and the third under construction. The second locomotive was completed after difficulties with the first. The two completed locomotives were stored at New Cross Gate in 1949 before the project was scrapped and all locomotives condemned in November1950
